Jason Kelce believes his Super Bowl ring was thrown in the trash - rather than stolen - after his New Heights live show with brother Travis. Chiefs star Travis and former Eagles center Jason, who recently retired from the NFL, returned to the University of Cincinnati earlier this month for a special edition of their hit podcast. The brothers hosted the inaugural 'Lombaby Games' which pitted student-athletes against their fellow students in a series of challenges. One involved wading through a pool of chili in search of Jason's Super Bowl ring - which he won with the Eagles in 2018. The NFL star later revealed that it was never recovered, sparking suggestions that the ring was taken. Travis fueled those rumors, claiming on this week's episode: 'Dude, you don't lose it... somebody steals it.' Jason Kelce believes his Super Bowl ring was thrown in the trash at the New Heights live show The Kelce brothers staged a live episode of their hit podcast in Cincinnati earlier this month Students were made to dive into pools filled with chili in an attempt to find his Super Bowl ring But the elder Kelce brother has now clarified what he thinks happened. In response to one - now-deleted - suggestion of theft on social media, he wrote: 'This is incorrect, and not what I was saying, I do not think it was stolen. 'Based on the video evidence we do have I think it was accidentally thrown in the trash while cleaning up.' Ironically, the game was only conceived 'because I continually lose my Super Bowl ring,' the former Eagles center explained. He went on to reveal: 'I don't even know if Travis still knows this, but I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event. 'They could not find it. We have still yet to find it, all of this stuff has been thrown away. So I think we can safely assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill some place in the Cincinnati Tri area.' It's not the first time the ring has gone missing. In the Amazon Prime documentary 'Kelce', Jason could be seen trying to locate the jewelry, only to later realize it had been hidden in a sock. |
